Mayweather admit Cotto is difficult opponent

Floyd Mayweather who is already moving up from welterweight (147 lbs) to Junior middleweight is set to face and defeat Miguel Cotto for the WBA world title. The Mayweather vs Cotto fight takes place on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and has all the makings of a classic. During the interview, Floyd Mayweather states that Miguel Cotto will be a difficult opponent for him.

But Mayweather promise to be an aggressive fighter and Mayweather says that he feels he can knock him out. Mayweather knows when to be a boxer and when to be a slugger. He depends on his shoulder-roll defense most of the time and he is one of the few boxers who can win the brawl even though he is moving backward.

I just have to see how the fight plays out, but I’m going to approach it in a very ,very aggressive way and go out there and press the attack early,” Mayweather added.

I feel that my hands are faster, I’m the best counter-puncher. I’m a guy that’s blessed with the ability to go uo and down and beat the best fighters they have in the sport of boxing”, Mayweather added.

Miguel Cotto who is an expert in ring control and delivering blow by blow to the body can break dent ribs of Mayweather.

If sports is something about skills, conditioning, preparation and you have to be clear, all over in all sports and if you can contribute to make the sports better, more clear I am not mad with that”, said Cotto.

The Mayweather vs Cotto fight also dubbed as Ring Kings is a heavily anticipated match between two great fighters of the decade.
