Mayweather vs Ortiz fight that fans will never forget

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was unable to knock out Shane Mosley and settled for a unanimous decision win in their encounter last year. Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz will face each other on September 17 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, will be looking for a better finish to prove a point that he is a better fighter than the unbeaten Mayweather Jr. Ortiz believes he can give the 34-year-old Mayweather a hard fight, unlike his previous opponents Andre Berto, in their upcoming welterweight bout. Mayweather is a tough guy and durable. It would be incredible if Ortiz stops him. It would prove that he’s better than the other guy who couldn't stop him.

Team Ortiz going to force the action and go for it this time. If it comes, it comes. I think Ortiz is definitely the guy to do it. Knocking out Mayweather would be a difficult task for Ortiz because the 34-year-old former pound for pound and 5 division world champion hasn't lost by knockout in his career. Although I personaly wants Victor Ortiz to send Mayweather to dream land, team Ortiz is really looking for a knockout and an epic war between two of the best welterweights in the world.

Right now team Ortiz were not really focused on the knockout. Ortiz work hard in the training and if it comes, it comes. Victor Ortiz need to prepared himselves to fight 12 rounds. If the knockout comes it would be excited about it. It’s the kind of fight that’s better than Shane Mosley and Pacquiao. Like Manny, Mayweather moves fast and has great foot speed and power also.

That’s what I want on this Mayweather vs Ortiz contest... a war! Victor Ortiz throws a lot of punches and that’s good for us to give the fans a good fight. Ortiz should pressure Mayweather a lot and promised that he won’t back down and make that fight a war that the fans will never forget. Both fighters are amazing. The only issue that I have is the size factor. Floyd is the bigger man. Then again, Victor Ortiz is a southpaw. I expect a wonderful Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz fight with this one.

Victor Ortiz ready for war against Floyd Mayweather

Victor Ortiz ready for war vs Floyd Mayweather
The odds of Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz will obviously be in favor of “Pretty Boy Floyd”. Victor Ortiz guaranteed that he will improved and better fighter when he faces off with Floyd Mayweather on their WBC welterweight championship fight on September 17. The world will see a different Victor this time around. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to change Victor completely. If Mayweather wants to go to war, Ortiz will help him get his wish. Victor Ortiz focus is to box Mayweather, but his ready for a war if Mayweather wants to go there. According to Ortiz trainer that Ortiz has learned so much under his guidance as the fighter is doing things he has not done before. These include jabbing, head movement and defense. Victor Ortiz looks and is far different than what people know him as from before.

Victor Ortiz wants to do against the 7-division world champion Manny Pacquiao. Victor Ortiz will move his head and hands more, Ortiz wants Mayweather make miss and make him pay, but Ortiz is who he is and will always want to beat on somebody by going to war. Some say that this Mayweather vs Ortiz contest is a mismatch. But it’s like I don’t want to say mismatch because there’s a never a mismatch per se between two fighters. But in my personal view and the current level of each fighter I think Mayweather dominates.

Floyd Mayweather has fought the best fighters in the Welterweight and Super welterweight divisions and has been a 5 time world champion in this weight class. For many years, Mayweather has been fighting in this welterweight division and knows how to deal with fighters in this weight class. Though, the last fight that we saw Mayweather was on 2009 against Shane Mosley. After that he never back on the ring. I’ll give also Mayweather a big vote that he can knock out Ortiz. But as I said, Victor Ortiz will not go down without a fight. What do you think, would Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz bout is a very interesting fight not?

Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz on Sept. 17

Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz face to face
The current undefeated boxer in the world in the welterweight division Floyd Mayweather Jr. (41-0 25 KO) will return to the ring after 16 months of inactivity and the fighter Mayweather will face will be the younger and the current WBC Welterweight champion Victor Ortiz (29-2-2 22 KO’s). Now, I know some of you will doubt this Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz bout because you think this will be a mismatch. That is why a lot of questions that has been raised when the news broked out about the Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz, “Can Mayweather knock out Victor Ortiz?" Other question is "can Victor Ortiz at least wins a decision and will give an upset to Floyd Mayweather and give Mayweather his first ever defeat? There are boxing analysts who believed that Mayweather can knock Ortiz out. And I think I'm one of them.

My personal view regarding this Ortiz vs Mayweather fight, as what I can see Mayweather has the capability to knockout Ortiz not only once but I think twice. Now on VIctor Ortiz winning a decision? I think that will be the closest win can Ortiz will get. I don't think he can knockout Mayweather. If Mayweather can make Victor Ortiz a little too aggressive and walks him in a counter shot then he can knock Ortiz because this is the kind of power Mayweather usually has. Floyd Mayweather with his slick boxing skills, controlling his opponents every move as if he was a puppet master was really disappointing if you are his opponent.

Victor Ortiz is a great young fighter to watch whoever he matches up against win or lose he puts on a magnificent show a true champion, he takes his opponent to war and using his boxing skills paired with his natural aggression to do this. I really admire Ortiz courage to put his belt on the line just to prove something that Mayweather is just only a human being and can be defeated. Not only has Victor Ortiz got the tools he as youth on his side and Mayweather is now 34 years old and we still don't know the condition Mayweather is in because it's almost a year since he didn't fight.

It only shows that Victor Ortiz will not go down without a fight and if ever he will beat Floyd Mayweather and win their fight. As we all know that Victor Ortiz must fight beyond the level of Floyd Mayweather Jr. to win the Mayweather vs Ortiz contest. Now do you think this Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz still an exciting fight? You’ll decide but for me, I think it is. What I believe that this Ortiz vs Mayweather contest is good for all fight fans. I’m already excited about the Mayweather vs Ortiz bout which will happen on Sept. 17, 2011 on MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Victor Ortiz will bring the war to Floyd Mayweather

Mayweather vs Ortiz will face each other on September 17, 2011 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz (29-2-2, 22 KO’s) has already come up with a strategy to try and beat undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. (41-0, 25 Ko’s) in their fight on September 17th at a still to be determined venue. Ortiz, 24, says he’s going to take the fight to Mayweather and try to turn it into a war. This no doubt has been attempted before, albeit with weaker and smaller fighters than Ortiz. Juan Manuel Marquez and Ricky Hatton both attempted to take the fight to Mayweather and were easily beaten. The southpaw Ortiz is bigger and stronger than those guys, so perhaps he can take Mayweather’s hard pot shots and keep firing back to get inside on Mayweather.

In an interview at the The Ring, Ortiz said “I’ll take him the same way I thought Oscar De La Hoya beat him, the way Jose Luis Castillo beat him, that’s take the war to his ass.” This would be more or less the same tactic that Ortiz used on beating former WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto by a 12 round decision in his last fight in April.

Ortiz went right at Berto and forced him to fight a long and protracted inside ward where Ortiz was eventually able to beat Berto, but not before being knocked down twice. To Ortiz’s credit, he was able to get up off the deck on two occasions and put Berto down twice as well, and eventually wear him down. If you are all excited to Watch Mayweather vs Ortiz then stay tuned on this blog for more updates.

Who Will Win Between Mayweather and Ortiz?

The much-awaited matchup will be held on Sept. 27, 2011 as Ortiz is set to defend his WBC World Championship title. This is bound to be one of the biggest fights this year as the two boxers have made such a huge impact in the boxing world. Floyd Mayweather vs Victor Ortiz is one of the biggest boxing fights and events of the year. Mayweather vs Ortiz is an exciting, intriguing bout in the welterweight division. It features one of the sport's best fighters and biggest names in a long awaited return, and he's facing a powerful, young champion intent on keeping up his winning ways. On his comeback fight, Mayweather will be up against the Victor Ortiz. Ortiz is 10 years younger than Mayweather, with Ortiz aged only 24 years while Mayweather is 34.

But despite his young age, the Mexican-American is turning out to become a boxing great with a scorecard of 29 wins, 2 losses, and 2 draws, with 22 wins via KOs. He is considered by several boxing news and websites as one of the top two welterweight boxers of the world. For my personal view regarding this fight, I guess it will still be Floyd Mayweather Jr.

He got a stone wall defense that its difficult for Ortiz to crack. The latter just can't get through that defense and he will probably receive some beating from the undefeated fighter. Aside from that people are waiting for Floyd to win this match so that he can prepare to fight Pacquiao on his next fight if in case he will not retire again and dock the match once more.

However, Victor Ortiz can still have the chance to win this match if in case he can keep up to exchange blows against Floyd up to the later rounds. Watch Mayweather vs Ortiz this September 27 to see who among them will take home the WBC World Welterweight title.
