Roach Wants Chavez Jr. Sparring Partner of Pacquiao

The most awaited clash between Pacquiao vs Margarito will happen this November 13, 2010. Though there's no venue yet were the Pacquiao vs Margarito will happen. But Pacquiao's camp has already have a plan about the training of pound-for-pound king and current WBO welterweight champ Manny Pacquiao. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the son of namesake and legendary Mexican boxer Cesar Sr., is likely to come to Manila and help “pound-for-pound king” Manny Pacquiao prepare against Antonio Margarito.

Top Rank’s Bob Arum said Chavez will join trainer Freddie Roach when the boxing coach flies to Manila to train Pacquiao for the November 13 fight. Freddie is also planning to take Chavez to train with Pacquiao,” Arum said. Chavez also agreed to be Pacquiao's sparring partner because it will added for his experience when training against Pacquiao. Chavez himself is preparing for the biggest fight of his career against erstwhile Pacquiao opponent Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico on December 4.

The 6-foot-1 Chavez, who holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) silver middleweight title, will help Pacquiao prepare against Margarito, who stands at 5-foot-11. Chavez, who has remained unbeaten in 43 fights, is the son of Mexican great and 6-time world champion Julio Cesar Chavez, Sr. Arum said that after training in Manila, Pacquiao will fly to the US a month before the fight and train at Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, California.

Chavez will be a great help as a sparring partner for Pacquiao to prepare against a big and another Mexican Margarito.
