When Pacquiao vs Margarito rub each other gloves on November 13 this will be an epic match. But the before the fight happen both fighters should agree some terms that’s why negotiations is still on-going. And I read on some news sites that Antonio Margarito has agreed to meet Manny Pacquiao at the catch weight of 150 lbs, or 4 lbs below the 154 limit. Margarito did not hesitate to agree on the 150 lbs catch weight according to the reports. Margarito faces difficulty making 147 but there is an understanding about the three extra pounds between the parties. Pacquiao is also willing to fight Margarito from 147 up to 150 pounds around that weight despite the Mexican champ’s height advantage. Pacquiao said that he has no problem about climbing weight to face the Mexican. What I think also is Margarito agreed the catch weight of 150 because this is the fight he really wants to happen with, and he really wants to fight Pacquiao. And also, it is also good money for him; this will be his biggest payout in his career. Another advantage is having two fighters under one promoter Top Rank. There are many ingredients in the fight mix that create a mega fight, and the Pacquiao vs Margarito fight features a number of elements that should make this one a classic. There is enough of a difference in styles to make this something special. Who knows how this fight would have played out 4 years ago, but right now both fighters still possess superior speed and boxing technique, Pacquiao has speed, footwork, punching power, and aggressive boxer puncher who will come forward, and Margarito is big, strong, good punching power, tough and determined. They must be on a collision course to fight as the hype, pressure and expectation for the two to meet up is building up, that the money involved would be good also to ignore. Boxing fans are now excited to watch Pacquiao vs Margarito this November. Pacquiao vs Margarito on November 13
The unexpected fight happens but the expected fight never happen. That is why my colleagues told me “expect the unexpected”. When Top Rank promoter Bob Arum confirmed the Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao will face Mexico’s Antonio Margarito on November 13. Over the last year or so the interest that has surrounded this possible bout has been unseen in the boxing world for a long time; we all want to know how Lost will end, but absolutely everyone wants to know who will come out on top in this battle. I've spent the last few days studying both fighters, from Pacquiao's fights with Cotto and Clottey, the suspension of license of Margarito caught using illegal hand wraps, to Floyd's unanimous decision over Mosley and a dramatic win of Cotto against Foreman. I’ve picked apart their styles and finally managed to conclude my thoughts on this fight. Not everyone will agree with my thoughts, but that is boxing and that is what makes this fight so interesting. Arum said that Manny Pacquiao picked Margarito over Puerto Rico's Miguel Cotto, whom Pacquiao pummeled in the 12th round last November, because it would be a more challenging fight than fighting Miguel Cotto in a rematch and they see it not marketable anymore. Pacquiao will face Margarito for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) junior middleweight championship in Las Vegas if the Mexican is able to get a license to fight in Nevada. And if Pacquiao beat Margarito, he will become the 1st boxer to win 8 world titles in 8 divisions. As we all know, the contrast in style between the two fighters is huge, with Manny being a gung-ho offensive master and Margarito is big, strong chin, aggressive style, good punching power, good offensive skills, tough and determined. This clash of styles is what's making this possible bout so interesting and hard to predict. Both fighters have their flaws and both fighters have had trouble against similar fighters to each other. I'm going to stick my neck out and say how I think this fight is going to pan out, some of you may already know who I'm backing for this fight but I think it's important that everyone backs up their predictions with thoughts and reasoning. I'm not going to pick a winner, or a result, who knows how things will turn out in the ring on November 13, 2010, but all the ingredients are there for this Pacquiao vs Margarito mega-fight, now its all up to the two men, Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito when they step into the ring to give us something we've seen in the past and bring it back to the present. Anyways, this scheduled bout will be aired on HBO PPV.
